  • People Experience Consultant
  • £459 per day

We are looking for a People Experience Consultant to join a Financial Services plc based in Birmingham. As a People Experience Consultant you’ll be working towards improving how employees work across the business by challenging behaviour and rules that don’t feel right.

This People Experience Consultant will be at the very heart of the strategy that will improve everyday lives for colleagues, from simplifying internal processes and systems through to reducing bureaucracy. We are looking for someone who is passionate about creative change to help us understand employee perspectives.

About you:

The title People Experience Consultant can mean a few things in the market form one business to another, I’ll break it down for you.

The role of People Experience Consultant is fairly new and businesses are trying to become more user centred especially by improving Employee Experience. Essentially the most suited people for this role will come from a HR background and have progressed through their career heavily involved with HR Transformation projects so that they can understand the Legal Ethics and Compliance side of Employee Experience.

However the other side of this role is very much about User Centred Design processes and incorporating User Research using tried and tested methodologies to engage employees. It’s all about Behavioural Analysis and approaching each project like a social scientific research initiative, asking the right questions in the right way. People Experience Consultants are those that are a blend of UX, HR an Analytics. They are data based practitioners with a distinctly human centric approach and that is what makes the role of People Experience Consultant fundamentally different and complete.

Responsibilities:

  • Engaging colleagues to find out what matters to them, by designing and leading innovative research activities including focus groups, interviews and co-creation sessions.
  • Using this insight to come up with ideas for quick and simple things we can do to make life better for colleagues.
  • Challenging thinking and driving genuine transformation of one of our key colleague journeys, making sure all we do is focussed on what matters for colleagues.
  • Role modelling the Group’s behaviours through trusting and collaborating with your colleagues and trying new ways of doing things to fix bureaucracy.
  • Facilitating hackathons or incubations to understand the as-is and to-be journey.
  • Delivering improvements to your allocated journey.
  • Developing high quality outputs for consideration at a Groupwide and an executive level.

What will favour you over other applicants?

  • Experience setting up, rolling out or encouraging use of collaboration or information sharing tools (e.g. Jive, Workday).
  • Experienced with Agile methodology, systems thinking and service design.

All sound okay?

Please apply with your up to date CV to be considered.
