Operations Improvement Manager

12 Month FTC

Circa £80,000

Scope of Role

  • Drive a client focused and continual improvement culture across middle office process delivery team
    • Work alongside team lead to change processes and approach to middle office activities
  • Identify most labour intensive / error prone / client frustrating middle office processes
    • Identify industry best practice
    • Scope: Personal Account opening and closure, Transfers, Settlements, Reconciliations, Fee collection, data maintenance, reporting
  • Map processes and identify areas for improvement
    • Drive increased customer satisfaction through improving service delivery
    • Pinpoint commercial efficiency opportunities for the Group
  • Devise & deliver transformation projects to improve processes
    • Implement pragmatic transformation and continuous improvement programmes across the business, overseeing changing procedure within the Middle-Office
  • Ensure regulatory compliance of processes

Role Responsibilities

  • Manage a middle-office team to deliver effective BAU and implement exceptional transformation projects, ensuring that teams meet and exceed all targets
    • Ensure stability and effectiveness of current processes
    • Lead and drive strategic plans through improvement initiatives to deliver sustained operational improvement
  • Define, deliver and continually refine an Operational Model that drives high levels of efficiency, risk control and improved client experience
  • Oversight of transformation controls & programmes reviewing budgets for middle-office operations
    • Work to an initial financial budget while developing businesses cases for additional projects
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all internal and external third party stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation and control of transformation programmes

Desired Qualifications & Experience

  • Must have operational/process improvement experience in a retail customer or financial services environment
  • Must have worked in an FCA regulated environment
  • Stakeholder management & strong leadership skills
  • Flexible to attend interviews & commence employment in August
  • Receptive to a longer tenure and prospect of joining the business in a senior position on a permanent basis
  • Experience working in a consultancy environment desired
