Digital Product Owner - Agile, Greenfield , Ecommerce

Experience needed:

  • Experience and deep understanding of the role of a digital product owner within an agile product development team
  • Ideally around 3 years previous experience as a digital product owner / business lead in defining, prioritizing and delivering a product backlog working with digital design / development / testing teams
  • Experience of working using Agile delivery methodology, principles and tools
  • Excellent experience of A/B & MVT testing, CRO and content personalisation and relevant tool experience (in particular Google Analytics, A/B Tasty, SessionCam, and Hotjar)
  • Proven commercial and technical experience working for large B2C or B2B websites, working in multi-disciplinary teams (preferably in travel)
  • Commercially focused - understanding how to use data and insights to drive and measure customer-centric solutions
  • Enjoy and be good at building relationships, articulating your product vision and bringing people with you on your digital product journey
  • Thrive on managing multiple projects and activities with a variety of different stakeholders
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills – verbal and written
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with attention to detail and naturally inquisitive about customer behavior
  • Strong decision making and ownership taking skills.

The role:

As Product Owner you will be responsible for…

  • Owning the product vision and the product backlog, reviewing and prioritising items in the backlog throughout the delivery cycle. You will document the user stories, and lead the backlog refinement sessions to break down the stories, helping to answer questions as the stories progress through the design/development/test cycle.
  • Consulting and aggregating requirements and opportunities to improve our digital product offering, user experience and conversion rate optimisation across the clients brand websites. You will attend the Agile development meetings eg standups, retrospectives as the key digital business lead.
  • Constantly optimising the sites to deliver our defined business outcomes and digital product strategy through collaboration with our Analysis, UX design, content and IT delivery teams.
  • Collaborating with IT and finance team to create the business case(s) for CRO and digital product developments taking ownership for defining and realising the business benefits. Constantly assessing value and prioritising stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value and aligned with the digital product strategy
